One of the first things visitors notice is that Oakville is aptly named- abundant old oak trees are particularly tall and magestic!

Because of it's naturally beautiful setting and easy commute to downtown Toronto, Oakville caught the eye of the 'Foofs', the 'fine old Ontario families' many years back , who settled along the shores of the lake in East and ‘Old’ Oakville. The stately old mansions along Lakeshore tell the story.
